Planda Bayırşəhər en Cuevana 3. The Outer City (Bayırşəhər), a special protected zone of historical and architectural significance in Baku, faces an uncertain future. The newly approved Baku City Master Plan poses a threat of demolition to this area. Two historic buildings on Tolstoy and Rostropovich Streets have already been demolished. The residents of The Outer City and a group of architects did not remain silent in the face of such blatant destruction. This documentary film portrays their struggle to protect their homes and the historical legacy of Baku — a place now being framed for destruction in the name of development.
